How to connect to eduroam

Use the eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)

Many participating institutions offer the eduroam CAT for easy, secure setup. It automatically configures your device with the correct settings.

  • Visit https://cat.eduroam.org
  • Select your institution from the list
  • Download and install the configuration for your device (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux)
  • Log in using your institutional email and password

Manual Configuration

Some institutions use their own setup process. In this case, follow instructions provided by your institution’s IT or network support team. You’ll typically need:

  • Your institutional username (usually your email) and password
  • eduroam network settings (e.g., SSID: eduroam, security: WPA2-Enterprise, EAP method: PEAP, PAP, Phase 2: MSCHAPv2, TTLS, Anonymous Identity: Leave empty.)

eduroam is primarily designed for laptops and mobile devices. Smart TVs may not support the required secure authentication but some might. 

Once you leave your institution and your account is deactivated, you will no longer be able to access eduroam.
